YSPN operates across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Karan also serves as a Director for the Indian Sub-continent and Crisis Support Agency (ICSA).

Nigel Freitas

NSW Minister for Finance and Services

Nigel started his career as a management consultant working across the banking, manufacturing and utilities sectors, both in Australia and overseas. He then made a switch to journalism, serving as the launch editor for a local technology news site. For three years, Nigel was a reporter and presenter for Sky News Business, hosting his own weekly technology show. He covered stories out of both Sydney and Melbourne and has interviewed some of the leading business figures in the country.

She is the co-creator and Presenter of an issues-based talk show, called #TalkAboutIt, which airs nationally on ABC News 24 and internationally on Australia Plus. Del presents the program from various international locations including Australia, India, Indonesia, Thailand and interviews people across the globe. She is a former BBC World News Presenter and Correspondent. She was the Presenter of India Business Report on BBC World News, which broadcasts weekly to more than 77 million viewers worldwide. 

Rishi Desai

Semi-finalist on Masterchef Australia 2013

Author of the Modern Indian, Rishi was a semi-finalist on MasterChef Australia 2013 (season 5). He has been one of the most popular contestants to appear on the show, loved by the audiences, fellow contestants and judges alike. Widely regarded as the front-runner for the title by the MasterChef judges themselves, Rishi's elimination shocked the audiences and sent social media feeds in to melt down. Rishi is passionate about demystifying Indian cuisine and cooking with spices.

Since graduating from university with degrees in journalism and law, Ajay has quickly climbed the ranks and made a big impression for his contributions to the legal profession and the community-at-large. She was born in Saigon, Vietnam and spent years in refugee camps in South East Asia before being accepted for resettlement in Australia, arriving here with her mother and two younger sisters in December 1979.A former award-winning journalist, independent film-maker and broadcaster with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Dai stepped into the world of politics in 2008 standing as a candidate in the seat of Cabramatta where she caused historic swings turning Cabramatta into a marginal seat.

Previously, Adam was Director of Marketing & Corporate Affairs where he was responsible for developing D&B’s strategic direction across brand, communications and ecommerce activities as well as industry and public affairs. During this period, Adam led D&B’s research program providing insight into the latest trends and developments in credit risk, cash flow and business marketing. Prior to joining Dun & Bradstreet.

Jasvinder Sidhu

Adviser to the Premier of Victoria

He has taught in five countries over last one decade and has presented his research in over dozen countries around the world. Jasvinder is a visiting professor in Singapore. A regular commentator at SBS, voluntary journalist, runs food programs for homeless people and homeless children, runs breakfast clubs in 12 schools in Victoria serving more than 500 school children enabling 50,000 meals every year. 

Divya Skene

Divya worked in the private sector with advisory firms IMA Asia and Asean Focus Group, and prior to that in economic teams at the Department of PM & Cabinet and Department of Industry in Canberra. In her current trade and investment role in the Australian Public Service she has worked closely with Australian industry associations and companies developing business internationally, and worked with investors and all state and territory governments to promote Australia for foreign investment. Divya has also taken the time to help build Indian business networks nationally. 


Rising star in Australian hip hop

His debut album One (released in May 2014 along with a national headline tour) received stellar reviews. Since 2009, he has toured nationally with Hip Hop legends Nas, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), DJ Qbert, MC Supernatural, Talib Kweli and Dead Prez. Following the release of One, L-FRESH The LION toured nationally across Australia; touching down in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide; taking his 7-member band with him.

Mohit has been an exceptional community volunteer and an excellent example of an admirable leader who, in addition to undertaking full time studies and commitments ranging across NSW and QLD; has selflessly devoted his time to various community organisations and charities. Academically, Mohit holds a degree in Medical Sciences with Honours in Pathology from Sydney University and is currently completing his Dentistry degree at Griffith University.
