IABCA Governance and Integrity
Governance & Integrity
Independent. Merit-Based. Non-Partisan.
The India Australia Business & Community Alliance (IABCA) is an independent, non-membership platform established in 2014 to strengthen engagement between Australia and India across business, government, academia, innovation, culture and community.
Operated by Gandhi Creations Pty Ltd, IABCA brings together leaders, organisations and institutions through strategic dialogue, recognition programs, cultural diplomacy and engagement initiatives designed to advance bilateral collaboration, economic opportunity and long-term relationships.
Unlike traditional membership-based organisations, IABCA operates as an open engagement platform. Participation in IABCA programs, initiatives and communications is open to individuals and organisations who share an interest in strengthening Australia–India engagement, with no membership requirements.
Over more than a decade, IABCA has engaged senior leaders from government, industry, diplomacy, education and community sectors across both Australia and India, fostering meaningful collaboration and strengthening bilateral ties through a non-partisan, merit-based and inclusive approach.
Our Governance Framework
IABCA operates through a governance framework designed to support strategic guidance, independent assessment and stakeholder engagement.
This framework comprises:

Together, these groups contribute to the credibility, integrity and continued growth of the platform.
Platform Management
IABCA is an initiative of Gandhi Creations Pty Ltd, an Australian-owned strategic events and engagement enterprise specialising in business, government and cultural platforms.
The Founder and Management Team are responsible for the overall operation, strategic direction, partnerships, stakeholder engagement and delivery of IABCA programs and initiatives.
Strategic Advisory
IABCA is supported by a Strategic Advisory comprising distinguished leaders from Australia and India across business, diplomacy, government, education, innovation and industry.
The Strategic Advisory provides strategic guidance, market insights and sector expertise to support the ongoing development of the platform and its contribution to Australia–India engagement.
The Advisory does not participate in the assessment of Awards submissions.
Independent Jury
The IABCA Awards are supported by an Independent Jury comprising respected leaders and subject matter experts from a broad range of sectors.
Jury members are appointed by IABCA based on their expertise and experience and serve in an independent assessment capacity.
Operating independently of sponsors, partners and program stakeholders, the Jury plays an important role in maintaining the integrity, credibility and merit-based nature of the Awards.
To ensure diversity of expertise and fresh perspectives, Jury participation may vary from year to year through a rotational model.
Awards Assessment Process
All submissions are received through IABCA's online Awards platform and assessed against published category criteria.

Ambassador Circle
Each year, IABCA appoints an Ambassador Circle comprising respected leaders, alumni and industry representatives from across Australia and India.
Operating under a rotational model, Ambassadors support stakeholder engagement, sector representation and the continued growth of the platform while helping to strengthen awareness of opportunities across the Australia–India corridor.
Government & Institutional Engagement
For more than a decade, IABCA has engaged with leaders from government, industry, academia and community across both Australia and India.

Partnerships do not influence Awards outcomes or assessment processes.

IABCA is committed to fostering inclusive participation and representation across sectors, cultures, genders, generations and professional backgrounds.
The platform seeks to reflect the diversity of both Australia and India while creating opportunities for established and emerging leaders to contribute to the future of the bilateral relationship.
